The Marin County Department of Public Works
Traffic Division is responsible for the safe and
efficient movement of traffic on all County-maintained
roadways in the unincorporated area except for:
- State highways (contact Caltrans at 510-286-4444)
- City streets (contact the appropriate city or town)
- Non-County-maintained roads

Traffic Signals
The Traffic Engineering division maintains the following traffic signals:
- Donahue Street @ Terners Drive, Marin City
- Redwood Highway Frontage Road @ Seminary Drive (Strawberry area)
- Redwood Highway Frontage Road @ Belvedere Drive (Strawberry area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ Eliseo Drive(Greenbrae area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ La Cuesta Drive(Greenbrae area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ El Portal (Greenbrae area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ Bon Air Road(Greenbrae area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ Wolfe Grade (Kentfield area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ Laurel Grove Avenue(Kentfield area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ College Avenue(Kentfield area)
- Sir Francis Drake Blvd. @ Elm Avenue(Kentfield area)
- College Avenue (pedestrian crossing at College of Marin)
- Lucas Valley Road @ Las Gallinas Avenue (Marinwood area)

Street Lights
The Traffic Engineering division is responsible for most of the
street lights in the unincorporated areas of Marin County.
The street lights are maintained by Republic ITS and
outages should be reported directly to them at 1-800-544-4876 or by visiting their website.
To assist Republic ITS in locating the outages, please
obtain the pole number (usually 2-3 numbers followed by a
letter, such as 132C) or a specific street address before calling.
Traffic Counts
The Traffic Engineering division does obtain traffic counts for
some of the roads in the unincorporated areas of Marin County.
Call (415) 499-7137 to determine if traffic counts are available
for the roads you are interested in.
For traffic counts in the various cities and towns in Marin, please
contact the appropriate city or town.
Street Signs
Missing or damaged street signs on streets in the unincorporated
areas of Marin County should be reported to (415) 446-4422
