The Communications Maintenance Division of DPW provides complete design, installation and
repair of radio and other electronic equipment. Equipment is maintained for Marin County
departments and, by contract, for other local government agencies within the county.
This division maintains over 5,000 individual pieces of equipment. Included is the
extensive microwave system that provides communication control and alert functions,
and is the functional link for most fire, police and related public safety communication
networks in the county.
