I was sworn in as your newest County Supervisor January 9, 2007, replacing my good friend, Cynthia Murray.

As your former Novato Councilmember, we accomplished many great things together such as bringing in Trader Joes, Whole Foods and Book Passage to our downtown, as well as equalizing the Novato school funding formula.

As your Supervisor, I am delighted to be able to work for you full time. 2007 will be a busy year for the County. We will, among many things, adopt a new General Plan and examine the feasibility of Community Choice Aggregation.

On a local note, I am beginning the LOOK WHO'S GETTING IT DONE AWARD. I will make this award every year beginning in January 2008. So throughout this year send me your nominations of someone in the Fifth District who got something done for our community. I will pick a winner and feature them in my January column in the Novato Advance and on this website.
