Born: May 1952 in Wilmington, Delaware.
            I have lived in the 4th District for 22 years.

Family: Spouse, Jean, and our 15 year old son, Breeze

Degree: Bachelor of Arts, Architecture, Arizona State University, 1976


Prior Community Service

Marin Conservation League Board member- 1990-1996

Chair, Marin Conservation League Water Committee, 1989-1996

Marin Municipal Water District Ad Hoc Water Supply Committee, 1992

Project Manager, Lagunitas School District. Financial Master Plan, Citizen Committee, 1995

Co-chair of "Yes on Measure C", successful $ 2.6 million school bond, 1995

Steering Committee, Unity Project, (supported by Marin Community Foundation grant) 1990-96

Assistant Coach, West Marin Little League, 1990-92

Community accomplishments

Headed off lawsuit between State & a local water agency, benefiting local fishery, 1996

Authored  Marin California Healthy Start Planning Grant, 1995

Led passage of Measure V, successful conservation oriented water bond, 1992

Authored Marin Community Foundation Unity grant, strengthening community cohesiveness, 1991

Authored Marin Community Foundation grant for restoration of community playing fields, 1988

Led efforts that created the County's only school-based library branch, 1986

Led successful efforts to prevent development of San Geronimo Ridge 1979-83
