Invasive Plant Management

MCOSD Goatgrass Volunteers
Volunteers pull goatgrass on the Terra Linda / Sleepy Hollow Preserve

An invasive species is a non-native plant or animal that rapidly spreads, displacing native species, and disrupting habitats. Most non-native plants are not a dangerous threat; however, a small number are considered "invasive" and significantly reduce biological diversity, causing severe ecological and economic damage.

The Marin County Open Space District is responsible for and committed to reducing the threat from invasive weeds.
