The Technical Services Division is responsible for supporting the County's underlying technical infrastructure and its operation. Managed by Gordon Haberfelde, the division supports the management of data networks, the servers, information security, personal computers and the mainframe. Our central focus is to provide high availability and fast response times for all county technical resources. The division includes a team of about twenty-eight analysts and technicians.
Computer Operations
The Operations Branch, led by
Greg Ocello, supports the
deployment of new PCs, handles the operation of the mainframe systems and manages the PC
hardware lease and support programs.
Help Desk
The Help Desk Branch provides a help desk, which responds to calls from
all county departments for problems related to desktop PCs, network issues, application software issues,
telephone services, and any other hardware problems that arise.
This group is led by Alan Kristal.
Network Support
The Network Support Branch, led by Laurie Childers, provides support for the various county telephone and voice systems and support for voice and data cabling.
Servers and Architecture
The Server and Architecture Branch, led by Maria Eckdish, manages software and hardware changes to the county mainframe and its Windows-based servers. This group also support changes to and the operation of the data network.
