CCA: Local Government Commission Workshop, October 11th 2007

The Marin Local Government CCA Task Force and the Local Government Commission held a workshop on October 11th, 2007 at the Marin County Civic Center to provide an introduction and overview to the commercial availability and potential for renewable power, and answer key questions that our policy makers have raised in relation to the goal of 50 percent or greater renewable generation within 5 years. At this workshop, representatives from renewable energy industries (solar, wind, geothermal and biomass) provided an overview of renewable technologies, availability and cost. A summary of key workshop findings, agenda, speaker biographies, presentations, and a key study on the availability of renewable power can be downloaded below. Funding for this workshop was provided by the California Energy Commission, the US Department of Energy, and the County of Marin.
